I’m Beth Ely, a freelance copywriter and account director based in metro Atlanta, GA. I have over 30 years of experience as a copywriter/copy director on both in-house teams and on the agency side, writing compelling B2B and B2C copy that builds brands and sells goods and services. I also have 10 years of agency experience as an account director, keeping projects on time, on target and on budget. Somehow, I lucked out with the perfect balance of left-brain logic and right-brain creative! I love my job, whether it’s creating copy that speaks your customer’s language or making sure your rush project is hitting the marks and getting out the door on time.
As a copywriter, I’ve written B2C copy for many major retailers: Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Kohl’s, Sears, Bed Bath & Beyond, Chico’s and Soma, just to name a few. I’ve also written B2B copy for Georgia-Pacific, Kimberly-Clark, MSC Industrial Supply, Mohawk Home, Capital Lighting Fixture Company, JSI Store Fixtures and several commercial and residential real estate developers, including Geyer Morris Company, Stafford Development, Gables Residential and others. From newspaper ads to catalogs, brochures to websites and accurate, descriptive e-commerce copy, I create multimedia copy that sells.
As an account director, I’ve managed a variety of accounts that included Kohl’s, Dollar General, Balducci’s & Kings Food Markets, JSI Store Fixtures and more. Presently, I provide account service and social media management for G3 Medical Marketing, working with their client C-RAD, a Swedish manufacturer of positioning and scanning products used in cancer treatment. As a liaison between the creative team and client, I take projects from kick-off to completion, staying on top of account activity and keeping everyone in the loop with clear communication and progress updates. It’s my goal to make everyone’s job a little easier, while creating powerful marketing materials that really work for the client.
